Seattle Volleyball 2024 Preview and 2023 Season Recap

We are excited for the 2024 season as Seattle Volleyball Academy has grown to 9 teams 

 

Tthanks to all of the players, families and coaches for taking part in our inaugural year as a full program.  We started in 2021 with a lone U12 team and this past season we grew to 6 teams: 2 Development teams (U12, U14), 1 Regional team (U16) and 3 National teams (U14, 2 - U16's). For the upcoming 2023-2024 season we are planning to grow to 9 teams from U12-U17.

It was our plan from the start to provide a quality volleyball program in Seattle that would rival all of the top programs outside of Seattle.  It was important to design and build a program that teaches the fundamentals and advanced skills of the game to help the players reach their highest potential, which in turn will bring them greater success.

As a new program in any sport it takes time and a lot of work to build a winning program.  We were fortunate to have had some of the top players and coaches in the Seattle area believe in our new program which sped up the process.

Our U14 National team, consisted of many first year club players finishing the season with a 14-4 record in their last 2 tournaments.  In the 35th Annual UW Emerald City Classic they finished as the Runner-Up and in California at the 14th Annual Summer Soiree they had a Gold Division top 10 finish.

​

Our U16 Regional team grew greatly over the season, nothing more evident than their runner-up finish in their division at the PSR 2023 U15-U17 Regional Championship & Bid Event. They finished the season with an impressive 18-8 season and going 15-3 in their final 4 competitions.

 

Both of our U16 National teams had great seasons winning tournaments along with runner-up finishes in their divisions. Both teams finished ranked in the top 10 at 4th and 6th, out of 67 teams, in the Puget Sound region and ranked 330th and 656th Nationally, out of 4,800 teams.
